Bike/Walk/Bus Program
Qualified members of the Caltech community can join the Bike/Walk/Bus program and receive 12 free daily parking sessions per quarter. Program participants will receive their free parking sessions through Caltech's mobile parking provider, HonkMobile (also known as Honk). Each parking session is valid for a single use, and can be redeemed up to one year from the date it is issued.
To download the Honk app and register as a bike/walk/bus commuter, please complete the following steps:
- Download the Honk app from the Apple store or Google Play
- Apple: https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/honkmobile/id816255029
- Android: https://play.google.com/store/search?q=honkmobile+app&c=apps&hl=en - Register for the app using your chosen email address
- Submit the Bike/Walk/Bus registration form to the Parking Office at: [email protected]. Once the form is submitted, you will be registered as a bike/walk/bus commuter and receive your daily parking sessions on the Honk platform within 2-5 business days
PLEASE NOTE: As part of the transition to the mobile app, we will also be phasing out the existing red daily scratch-off parking passes. Below is an outline of the phaseout:
- Beginning with the winter quarter of 2027 (Jan-Mar), the scratch-off style passes will no longer be issued to program participants.
- Program participants that do not register for the app can still request the scratch-off style passes through the fall of 2026.
- Existing scratch-off passes that are marked with the current date will continue to be honored in the Caltech lots through 2030.
- Effective immediately, expired scratch-off passes will no longer be replaced by the Parking Office.
